PANACEA (HIMS) upgarde JIPMER Hospital

JIPMER, an institute with national importance is using our enterprise solution HIMS solution – PANACEA. JIPMER, Pondicherry caters its services to the thousands of patients daily coming from in and around Pondicherry along with staff and their families on outpatient basis. JIPMER is 2000+ bedded hospital equipped with modern facilities and catering to all specialties.
Since 2009 we have implemented an integrated hospital information system in the areas of Patient Registration and Inpatient Admissions, Diagnostic Services (Pathology, Radiology, and Cardiology), Medical Record including Medical Research facility and Inventory Management, Wards Automation etc. Pathology lab equipment’s are integrated (Bi-directional Integration) with pathology reporting module , where the pathology test results are fllowing directly to reporting module.

The project execution methodology was carefully designed and deployed. Main emphasis was given to user friendliness and highly interactive training sessions, to-class quality.
Below is the brief outline of the functions covered in various modules  –

• Admissions/Discharges/Transfers: This module caters to the in-patient admissions (including staff and dependents) and discharges / transfers from various wards, registration of casualty patients. This also take care of  birth and death records maintenance and also provides MIS like daily bed occupancy and monthly reports to managements.
• Diagnostics: This module automates the pathology reporting process. This module is now extended to various path labs  like  Bio-chemistry lab, Histology lab, Clinical pathology, Hematology lab, Microbiology lab etc.) We have also integrated various lab equipments like A25 Analyzer, Sysmex Analyzers, D5 Supreme with PANACEA. Also users are publishing lab results on JIPMER’s online portal.
•  Inventory Management: This module maintains medicine and other consumbale items.  Requisitions and Issues of drugs/consumables are handled online. Also system provides expiry alerts for medicines. analysis of movement of items/drugs.
•  Radiology: PANACEA has been integrated with third party vendor PACS system. This helps user to register patient on modality automatically based on order entry and doctors can view patient’s radiology reports directly from PANACEA.
